Preparing Students for Academic Success

The Junior League of Indianapolis has been committed to the health and education of children and their families for the past 90 years. Currently, JLI has a particular emphasis on education and preparing students for academic success. Since 2011, we have invested more than $500,000 in this issue area.


2014-2015 Projects and Partnerships

Pre-K Classrooms: A Model for Establishing High Quality Pre-K Programs in Schools

We are excited to partner with Early Learning Indiana (formerly Day Nursery) to support a new model for establishing high-quality Pre-K programs in schools. JLI is one of the key supporters of Day Early Learning at Phalen Leadership Academy and Day Early Learning at Vision AcademyThe JLI will be providing volunteers as well as tuition assistance for low-income families. Tutors in Action

We are continuing our partnership with School on Wheels by providing program funding and volunteers for one on one or small group tutoring for families living in transitional housing.

Elementary School Signature Project

For our new signature project, we have partnered with Stephen Foster Elementary to provide support for their key needs.
