Celebrating 95 Years of History

Since 1922, the Junior League of Indianapolis (JLI or the League) has served the community through a commitment to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women and improving Indianapolis through effective action and leadership. The League strives to be a catalyst for change in the lives of children and their families in the community.

Over 750 women strong, the League has dedicated countless hours of time, talent and treasure.  Looking to the next 95 years, members will continue their dedication to encouraging women to make a difference.

JLI "Woman of the Year" Award

In honor of our 95th anniversary, the JLI would like to recognize a woman in the community who has made a significant impact on Indianapolis in the same lines as our mission, values and vision with our "Woman of the Year" award.  In doing so, we will continue our celebration and empowerment of women who are helping to shape our city for the greater good.

The winner of the award will receive a $5,000 grant, which will be given to the Indianapolis not-for-profit organization of their choosing. The organization must align with the mission of the League and be a registered 501(c)(3).

The award winner will be recognized June 6, 2017, at the JLI's 95th Anniversary Celebration in downtown Indianapolis.
