Erika Steuerwald, Nominating Chair

Erika (Hall) Steuerwald, Nominating Chair, joined the Junior League of Indianapolis in 2013. She has served in various roles with the JLI including: Board at Large, Nominating Chair Elect, State Public Affairs Committee Chair,  COVID Task Force Co-Chair, Holiday Mart Site Committee Chair, and Provisional Mentor.  While serving as a Provisional Mentor, the Provisional Committee was awarded the “Committee of the Year.”  Additionally, she was chosen to attend the AJLI’s 2018 Organizational Development Institute. Erika cares deeply about the JLI’s mission of developing the potential of women and improving the community through the effective action of trained volunteers.  As Nominating Chair, her goal is to strengthen JLI’s leadership pipeline and encourage women to raise their hands to lead. 

Erika is an associate attorney at Katz Korin Cunningham. Erika focuses her practice on the defense of medical professionals in state and federal court. She graduated from Indiana University Bloomington with a Bachelor of Arts, where she was a Cox Scholar and a Director of the Indiana University Memorial Union Board. Erika received her law degree from Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law, Erika also serves on the executive committee for the Indianapolis Bar Association’s Women in the Law Division and is a 2019-2020 graduate of the Richard G. Lugar Excellence in Public Service Series.

Originally from South Carolina, Erika now calls Zionsville home with her husband, Adam. Erika enjoys playing volleyball, hiking, and exploring fun things to do in Indianapolis.
