Mollie Tavel Kaback, Board at Large

Mollie Tavel Kaback has been an active member of the Junior League since 2012, when she joined the Junior League of Chicago. Prior to transferring to the Junior League of Indianapolis in 2019, Mollie held numerous community- and membership-focused leadership positions in both the Chicago and Dallas leagues. Her passion for serving community, shaping leaders, and positively impacting the lives of others has motivated her to engage with Junior League members and nonmembers nationwide to share best practices, build networks, and provide support. Mollie attributes her love for voluntarism to her shared experiences with her mother, Sandi Tavel, who was an active member of the Junior League of Indianapolis. As a child, Mollie would often attend JLI membership meetings, visit the JLI’s annual Holiday Mart, and sell cookbooks alongside her mother.

Outside of the JLI, Mollie spent 10 years in public relations and marketing before returning to Indiana to focus on community engagement and growth for her family business, Dr. Tavel Family Eye Care. She graduated from Indiana University with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and minors in marketing, Spanish, music general studies, entrepreneurship and small-business management. Mollie and her husband, Joshua Kaback, live in Indy with their dog, Ranger, and their cat, Neco. In her free time, Mollie encourages others to embrace music and serve their community. She is a current Board Member for the Indianapolis Children’s Choir, President of the choir’s Alumni Association, and regularly volunteers with the Jewish Federation of Greater Indianapolis.
