Jourdann Barnes, Community Vice President

Jourdann Barnes joined the Junior League of Indianapolis in 2018.  She currently serves as the Vice President of the Community Council.  She has spent most of her time in JLI in various community roles such as the Patachou Foundation Chair and Around the Community/Community Impact Project Chair. Jourdann is a proud recipient of the JLI Obstacle Course award for continuing to provide volunteer opportunities to our members during the 2020 pandemic. Jourdann is committed to integrating our new focus area of Foster and Kinship care with our volunteer and training opportunities for our members. She is dedicated to ensuring the impact we make is positive to the communities we are serving.

Jourdann is an Indianapolis native but spent time in upstate NY and in London while attending Syracuse University to earn her B.F.A. in Environmental and Interior Design. She is a NCIDQ holding registered interior designer. She has served previously on the IIDA and USGBC boards for Indiana. She volunteers regularly with St. John Indy’s Emmaus Ministry with the unhoused. Currently, she works as a Design Manager for the Garrett Companies.  Jourdann lives in Cumberland with her husband Nick, son Atlas, and their four dogs.  She enjoys spending time doing DIY projects with her husband, trying out new recipes in the kitchen, and traveling whenever she can.
