About the Junior League of Indianapolis
The Junior League of Indianapolis (JLI) is an organization of women committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women and improving the community through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. Known as the premier training organization for women, the Junior League of Indianapolis has been developing community leaders and improving Indianapolis for more than 85 years. Over those 85 years, the Junior League has been involved with 137 community projects and donated over 6.3 million dollars to the community. Through successful fund-raisers and dynamic community partnerships, the Junior League of Indianapolis reaches new heights year after year.
The accomplishments of the Junior League of Indianapolis are many, varied and enormous. But none of those accomplishments would be possible without its members. The Junior League is over 1200 women strong and growing. And each one is a gift to the organization and to the community. The countless hours and sacrifices made by each member would rival any successful for profit business. Thanks to the members of the Junior League of Indianapolis for 85 years of immeasurable dedication.
The Junior League of Indianapolis is one of 294 Leagues in the United States, Canada, Mexico, and Great Britain. The Association of Junior Leagues International Inc. (AJLI) was formed in 1921 to unite all the Junior Leagues, and to provide continuity and support.
