Amanda Ward, Treasurer

Amanda Ward has demonstrated a strong commitment to community engagement and leadership throughout her career. Since 2021, she has been an active member of the Junior League of Indianapolis, where she has contributed to various community service initiatives. Additionally, Amanda served as the President of the Emergency Nurse Association (ENA) Chapter 134, highlighting her dedication to professional leadership and advocacy within the nursing community. Her involvement in these organizations underscores her passion for giving back to the community and fostering leadership among her peers and future nursing professionals.

Amanda Ward is the current Assistant Head of Undergraduate Academic Affairs at the School of Nursing, Purdue University. She brings a wealth of experience and passion to her role, significantly contributing to the academic and professional development of nursing students. She is passionate about passing on her love for nursing to the next generation of healthcare professionals, ensuring they are well-prepared to meet the challenges of the medical field with competence and compassion. Amanda has also dedicated 20 years to working in the emergency department at Hendricks Regional Health which has provided her with a profound understanding of patient care and emergency nursing, enriching her teaching and mentorship.

In addition to her professional pursuits, Amanda is an avid reader who believes in the power of continuous learning and personal growth. Her dedication to education, both formal and informal, fosters a culture of excellence and lifelong learning. Her goal is to continue to shape the future of nursing and women with dedication, expertise, and a heartfelt commitment to her students, patients, and the broader community.
