Madison Weintraut, Grants Vice President

Madison Weintraut is an Indiana native that joined the Junior League of Indianapolis in 2017. She has served in a variety of roles including: Holiday Mart Secretary, Do In A Day Committee, Nominating Committee, State Public Affairs Committee, Recruitment Co-Chair Elect, Civic Engagement Co-Chair, and now Vice President of Membership. Since joining JLI, Madison has been awarded Provisional of the Year, the annual Grace Award, and the Eye on the Horizon Award. Madison is committed to advancing the League’s mission by developing a motivating and fulfilling membership experience that is reflective of her own fondness and enthusiasm for JLI.

Madison graduated from Purdue University with a Bachelor of Science in Neurobiology and Physiology, where she was a Lilly Scholar and Purdue Trustee Scholar. Madison has since furthered her education with a Bachelor of Science Nursing from Marian University and a Master of Public Health with a focus in Health Policy from Indiana University Fairbanks School of Public Health, where she received the William M. Plater Civic Engagement Medallion and was inducted into the Delta Omega Honorary Society in Public Health. She is a member of the Women’s Fund of Indiana’s OPTIONS 19 class, as well as Policy Circle, and serves on the IU Fairbanks School of Public Health Alumni Board. Madison’s dedication to promoting evidence-informed, pragmatic strategies in Public Health led to the development of Indianapolis’ first legal syringe services program through Marion County Public Health Department.

In her spare time, Madison enjoys bike rides at a leisurely pace, evaluating the quality of Indianapolis’ patio dining, and being ignored by her tenant, Rugrat the Cuddle Cat.
