Michele Peterson joined the Junior League of Indianapolis in 2016 after moving from Florida in 2015. She graduated from Western Illinois University with a Bachelor of Social Work and then attended Indiana University of Pennsylvania to obtain her Masters of Arts in Student Affairs in Higher Education. Michele has moved around the country working at various universities, specifically within fraternity and sorority life and student support. Michele moved to Indianapolis for her current position as the Assistant Executive Director of Sigma Alpha Mu Fraternity.
She has four years of experience within the Membership Council of JLI. She has served as a Placement Mentor, Provisional Mentor, Provisional Chair and now Vice President of Membership. She is passionate about our members’ experience and wants to ensure this is an inclusive, empowering and fun environment for women to be a part of. Michele enjoys doing activities outside, spending time with family and friends, trying new restaurants in Indy and playing with her two dogs, Relia and Charity.
